About Our Music Program
Music is an integral part of our worship at Old North. Whether singing, performing, or listening, we engage in a diversity of sacred musical styles, including: choral anthems dating from the Renaissance to the contemporary; folk, jazz, and world music; congregational hymn singing; and a variety of instrumental offerings. There are several special services throughout the year which are enhanced by guest musicians.
For those interested in singing or ringing in one of our choirs, auditions are not required in order to participate; further, membership at Old North is not a requirement of participation!
The thriving music program at Old North Church involves many participants on a weekly basis, ministers to countless church-goers, and extends its reach to the community of Marblehead and well beyond.
